A 63-year-old man is accused of swindling more than £11,000 from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Jake Sutherland, 63, of Gallowshade Road, Forfar, denies the charges.
He is accused of failing to inform the DWP that his circumstances had changed between October 29 2014 and August 22 2017.
Sutherland’s attendance at Forfar Sheriff Court was excused yesterday, but he is to appear when the trial starts on September 16.
