A driver is being sought after punching a man behind the wheel of a car he overtook in Angus.
The silver Ford Fiesta had pulled up in front of the man’s car, forcing the 38-year-old to come to a stop, immediately prior to the incident on Carseview Road, Forfar, on Tuesday evening.
The Fiesta driver is said to have left his vehicle, opened the door of his victim’s car and punched the man.
Police say the attacker “did not stop” until a passerby intervened.
The incident took place between 7pm and 7.30pm.
The Fiesta driver is described as in his late-30s, 6ft, of heavy build, and with short, brown hair.
A Tayside Police Division statement reads: “Officers are following a positive line of inquiry, but would like to ask anyone who witnessed all or part of this incident, and in particular the passer-by who intervened, to contact us.
