Police have launched an appeal for information after an early morning raid on an Arbroath convenience store.
Officers are investigating a break-in and attempted theft of an ATM from Shop n’ Save on Brechin Road.
The incident is believed to have happened between 2.15am and 2.30am.
Detective Inspector Gavin McKinlay said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who saw any people or vehicles that may have looked out of place in the area at the time, or prior to this morning’s incident, to contact us.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101 quoting incident 371 of 20 September.
