An Angus man has admitted stealing National Lottery scratch cards valued at £4,000 from his place of work during a month-long spree.
Andrew Ashfield, 28, of Lower Craig Street, Montrose, pled guilty to the single charge of stealing the cards between October 24 and November 24 2018 while employed at Guthrie Brothers, North Esk Road, Montrose.
Ashfield appeared at an intermediate diet before Sheriff Keith O’Mahoney at Forfar.
Sheriff O’Mahoney deferred sentence on Ashfield until November 7 to allow for the preparation of a criminal justice social work report.
He has also asked for a restriction of liberty assessment.
