A man has appeared in court charged with robbing a newsagents at knife point in Dundee.
Rory Starkey, 24, is accused of robbing Keystore on Dunholm Road in Charleston on Friday November 22 at around midday.
It is alleged that, while with his face masked, Starkey did assault a female shopkeeper by brandishing a knife at her and demanding money before robbing her of £140.
He is also accused of acting in a threatening or abusive manner by brandishing a knuckleduster with a knife attachment at two police constables at Dunholm Terrace on the same day.
He is accused of committing the offences while on bail granted on October 24.
Starkey, of Belmont Arms Hotel, Meigle, appeared in private on petition at Dundee Sheriff Court before Sheriff John Rafferty.
He was remanded in custody pending a further court appearance and made no plea or declaration.
