A woman who performed a sex act in front of police after racially abusing and threatening to bite her neighbour has been placed under supervision.
Irene Torrie, who greeted officers naked when they went to her home following a disturbance, will also have to pay a £300 fine.
The 39-year-old was placed on the sex offenders’ register in connection with the incident in Balmuir Road, which happened on July 24.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard Torrie had to move out of the Kirkton area due to a backlash from the community after the offence.
Depute fiscal Gavin Burton said that on the day in question Torrie’s neighbour, Agnieszka Lukaszak-Ewiak, opened her door after hearing the accused arguing with someone from a window.
He said: “The accused directed a tirade of abuse towards her in an aggressive manner.
“A witness heard the accused shout ‘you Polish ****’.
“The complainer’s husband stood in front of her. The accused said ‘if I can’t fight her I’ll bite her'”.
Police went to Torrie’s home at 9.50pm, found her in bed and removed the duvet to reveal she was naked.
She refused to get dressed and behaved inappropriately towards officers, before back-up was called.
Torrie then began to touch herself in front of a male and a female police officer, sprung up from her bed and and pushed the female officer, causing her to fall against a wall.
She was restrained and taken to police headquarters after being encouraged to put her clothes on.
Torrie’s defence solicitor Scott Norrie said: “This was a very difficult period of her life.
“It escalated out of control.
“Most of the time she is living with her mother because of repercussions from members of the community.
“She still has the tenancy but is hopeful of a swap in due course.
“It has not been easy for her but she has engaged with services and her report is favourable.”
Torrie pled guilty to acting in a racially aggravated manner, making threats of violence, shouting, swearing, acting aggressively, assaulting a police officer and engaging in sexual activity in front of police.
Sheriff Lorna Drummond imposed a fine and ordered Torrie to undergo supervision for a year, including six months on the Mentoring for Women programme.
