A rapist broke down in court as he was convicted.
Father-of-four Michael Whorlton, 27, became emotional before he was led to the cells after he was found guilty of rape, indecent assault and underage sex offences.
Whorlton, of Barry Road, Kirkcaldy, had denied the charges at the High Court in Edinburgh, but was found guilty of underage sex, indecent assault and rape involving three victims.
He was also convicted of sending abusive messages to two of the women.
Whorlton was convicted of indecently assaulting a woman when she was aged 16 on an occasion between September 1 and October 31 in 2010.
He was also found guilty of having unlawful intercourse with a 15-year-old girl at a house in Kirkcaldy in 2010. He was also convicted of raping a woman at a flat in the Carnwadric area of Glasgow in 2014.
Lord Beckett remanded Whorlton, who had been on bail, in custody ahead of sentencing in January following the preparation of a background report. He was placed on the sex offenders’ register.
