McGilligan, Dunsinane Drive, Perth, admitted assaulting a boy by slapping him on the head in Crieff Road, Perth, on November 1. Fiscal depute Lisa Marshall said: “A mother saw the accused strike the child with an open palm. “She was shocked by the action. She described seeing the child’s head wobble. She heard the child crying loudly.” McGilligan admitted to police he had slapped the child but added he had never meant to hurt him. Sentence was deferred.
