A thief has been caught stealing a bottle of cider from the same supermarket 15 times in less than a month.
Kevin Nairn made an almost daily visit to his local branch of Tesco to steal a single item – a bottle of cider worth £5.
Yesterday at Perth Sheriff Court, the 58-year-old admitted 15 identical charges of shoplifting in a three week period during October. The court heard how Nairn had no criminal record prior to the shoplifting spree at Tesco Express in Scone.
Nairn, Queens Road, Scone, pled guilty to the 15 charges and said: “I regret the whole situation massively.”
Sheriff Christopher Shead said it was an unusual case.
