McCash, 28, of Benvie Road, had pled guilty to repeatedly attacking four women at various addresses in the city between 2008 and 2016.
On Wednesday afternoon, Detective Sergeant Gordon Patullo of Police Scotland’s Domestic Abuse Task Force praised McCash’s victims for coming forward and reporting the crimes.
He added: “Michael McCash is a violent and controlling individual, who committed repeated and sustained acts of violence against multiple partners over a period of nine years.
“His violent abuse was committed against his partners, women who trusted him. However, thanks to their bravery in coming forward and reporting to us, McCash is facing the consequences of his actions.
“We would take this opportunity to reach out to anyone who is experiencing or has experienced domestic abuse; it is never too late to report to the police or seek support and advice from one of our partner agencies such as Women’s Aid.”
