A Dundee gin-maker accused of fraud has had the case against him dropped.
Peter Menzies, owner of Dundee Gin and The Vine function suite, was due to stand trial at Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Menzies, a former West End Community Council chairman, had been accused of fraudulently obtaining seven alcohol licences from Dundee and Angus councils.
The charges stated that Menzies had applied through his subordinate, Michael Barbour, for permission to sell alcohol at events.
It had been claimed he used the name of former employee Robert Bruce for the applications.
The alleged offences were said to have been committed between June 5 and July 20 last year.
