A 41-year-old man has appeared in court accused of murdering an elderly woman in Kirkcaldy. Trevor Kidd is alleged to have killed the 74-year-old in a property in James Grove last week. Kidd, whose address was given as Kirkcaldy, made no plea during his private appearance at the town’s sheriff court. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear again within eight days.
