A Perth man who went viral after a police officer was filmed shouting “go home, you’re killing people” at him has been locked-up after he admitted breaking lockdown rules.
Anthony Smith broke bail conditions and ignored the lockdown rules to turn up at his former partner’s home and subject her to death threats.
He was remanded in custody and warned that he was likely to face a prison sentence for the blatant breaching of his special bail conditions.
Smith – filmed confronting police in Perth and claiming to have Covid-19 after the lockdown was imposed – appeared from custody at Dundee Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
The 37-year-old, from St John’s Place, admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner on the city’s Tweedsmuir Road on March 28.
He shocked the public across Scotland after brazenly ignoring police orders to go back to his home while bragging he had coronavirus.
Footage filmed by a resident in a flat overlooking Perth High Street, showed a desperate officer pleading with Smith to go indoors.
