Dean Stevens, 40, is alleged to have assaulted a 25-year-old woman in Pittencrieff Park in the early hours of Sunday May 24. Stevens, of Dunfermline, made no plea at a private hearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court yesterday. He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody. He will appear in court again within eight days.
