A man has appeared in court accused of trying to entice a 10-year-old girl into woods with him.
Sam Roan, 27, is said to have repeatedly attempted to induce the girl, who was unknown to him, to accompany him into a wooded area at Dornoch Place, Dunfermline, “under the false pretence” that he was acquainted with her father.
He is then said to have “pursued” the child, together with another girl of the same age, at Dornoch Place on December 30.
Roan, of Cupar, Fife, who appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court by video link from Perth Prison, denied the charges.
Sheriff Derek Hamilton continued the case to a procedural hearing at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on July 21. Bail was refused.
