A 22-year-old man has been accused of stealing a teenage boy’s dog at hammer and knifepoint while acting alongside a child. Kyle Sandilands is alleged to have attacked the 15-year-old boy and taken his Staffordshire bull terrier while brandishing the weapons at him. Sandilands, Strathtay Road, Perth, appeared in private at Perth Sheriff Court on Wednesday on a petition alleging assault and robbery. He is also alleged to have been in possession of a hammer at White Bridge in Perth on March 30. Sandilands made no plea and the case against him was continued for further examination. He was granted bail.
