A man has been charged in connection with a serious sexual assault in a Fife town.
An 83-year-old woman was the victim of the alleged incident on Thursday, June 25 at a property in Glenrothes.
The 21-year-old man is due in Kirckaldy Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
A Fife Police Division statement reads: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the serious sexual assault of an 83-year-old woman in Glenrothes.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and he is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Wednesday, July 8.”
