Sheila Ballantine, 65, appeared in private at Dundee Sheriff Court on Tuesday to face a petition alleging she took money for more than two years. Ballantine, of Ballantrae Terrace, Dundee, is alleged to have embezzled £32,970.44 from the Post Office branch in Gray Street, Broughty Ferry. The petition alleges she took the money while she was employed as assistant manager between March 1 2016 and July 12 2018. Ballantine made no plea and the case against her was continued for further examination. She was released on bail.
