A former Dundee City Council employee has been charged with a near-four-year stealing spree of fire safety equipment.
Iain Gardyne is accused of stealing 66 sensors, 93 heat alarms, 12 heat detectors, 40 fire alarms, 51 fuse boxes and two fans.
The offences are said to have occurred between October 28 2015 and June 26 last year, both dates inclusive.
The allegations are said to have happened while Gardyne was employed by the local authority at its Contract Services department on Clepington Road, Dundee.
Gardyne, of Smithy House, Auctherhouse, did not appear when his case was called at Dundee Sheriff Court on September 14.
Kevin Hampton, defending Gardyne, made no plea during the brief hearing and Sheriff John Rafferty continued the case without plea.
