A man who “blackmailed” a woman into having sex with a stranger before inflicting revenge porn on her family on Christmas Day has been jailed for six years.
Clive Weatherhogg, 42, from Guthrie near Forfar, set up meetings between the woman and a man who he found through an adult website and made them film their sex sessions.
He uploaded one of the videos to a website and sent a message containing the sexually explicit clip to the victim’s sister on Christmas Day in 2014.
He also revealed graphic video footage to their father.
Lady Wolffe told Weatherhogg that he had been convicted of “odious” crimes and said: “I am of the view there is no alternative to a custodial sentence.”
Passing sentence on Tuesday, she told the sex offender that she had to reflect society’s abhorrence at such conduct.
She also pointed out that the first offender had been assessed as posing “a moderate risk” of sexual re-offending.
Weatherhogg, formerly of Dubton Cottages, Guthrie, near Forfar, in Angus, had earlier denied a string of charges during a trial at Dundee Sheriff Court, but following his conviction was sent to the High Court in Edinburgh to be dealt with because of its greater powers of sentencing.
He was found guilty of coercing the woman to engage in sexual activity and intercourse with Mr Amobi between September 10 in 2013 and September 17 the following year.
He was also convicted of intentionally causing the woman’s sister and father to look at sexual images and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by sending text messages to the woman and uploading footage of her engaged in sexual activity on Christmas Day in 2014.
