A man has admitted poking his victim in the eye while trying to punch him with a belt wrapped around his fist.
Perth Sheriff Court heard Alwin Matyambizi, 34, Kingslaw Court, Tranent, had placed his belt into his back pocket when queuing to get into a club.
An argument broke out after someone took the belt from his pocket and began taunting Matyambizi, resulting in him throwing the punch when he retrieved his belt.
Matyambizi admitted that on November 1 at Scott Street, Perth, he assaulted a man and, with a belt wrapped around his fist, attempted to punch him on his face and then poked him in the eye with his finger.
He also admitted racially insulting a police officer.
Sheriff William Wood deferred sentence for reports.
