Darren Adie, 42, died after he was found injured on Tweed Avenue in Kirkcaldy around 6.45pm on May 28. Gordon Coventry, 51, of Kirkcaldy, appeared in court on Friday charged with the murder. Facing a single charge of murder on petition at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court, Coventry made no plea or declaration during a brief private appearance. The case was continued for further examination and he was remanded in custody meantime. Coventry is expected to appear in court again next week. Coventry’s arrest on Thursday came just two days after Darren’s parents made an emotional appeal to catch his killer.
