A young Dundee man who punched a 16-year-old unconscious will learn his fate at Dundee Sheriff Court on July 15.
Declan Neave left his victim dead to the world for more than five minutes following the attack in February.
Depute Fiscal Alan Kempton told the court: “There was just one punch, but the force of it caused Mr Neave’s victim to black out.
“He was rendered unconscious and remained that way for around five minutes.
“It does not appear, however, that he required medical attention.”
Neave, 20, of Gleneagles Street in Dundee, admitted assaulting a 16-year-old boy at an address in the city’s Troon Court on February 27 this year by punching him on the head, causing him to fall to the ground and rendering him unconscious, all to his injury.
The court was told that he had no previous convictions.
