A man is to stand trial accused of assaulting and robbing his 85-year-old grandmother in her home.
Kevin McLean allegedly forced his way into Agnes Widdis’ home in Dundee’s Strathmore Street on February 12.
Prosecutors say he seized her by the arm and robbed her of £50 in cash.
A further allegation states that on the same day he was in possession of two knives in Dundee’s South Ward Road.
McLean, 31, a prisoner at HMP Barlinnie, pleaded not guilty on indictment to a charge of robbery and another of possessing two knives at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Sheriff Alasdair Brown continued the case until next week.
