It is alleged he murdered Ms Fitzpatrick by striking her repeatedly on the head and body with a tyre iron or similar instrument at an address in Cable Road on August 8 or 9.
A second charge suggests he behaved in an abusive or threatening manner likely to cause her fear or alarm and repeatedly made derogatory remarks towards her.
This is said to have happened, while being video recorded by Campbell, “at a location within the jurisdiction of Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court”, on July 21.
The charges are aggravated by domestic abuse, prosecutors say.
Police said “extensive inquiries” had been carried out, leading to the arrest of Campbell last week.
