Piotr Chwastek, of Main Street, previously pleaded guilty to stealing electrical equipment and a smoothie from Asda, Milton of Craigie, on January 30. The 31-year-old appeared from custody to be sentenced by Sheriff John Rafferty. The court previously heard that Chwastek had become homeless not long after losing his job at a local recycling centre. Solicitor Morgan Day said her client had made “significant progress” in terms of his circumstances and had been engaging with mental health support.
