A man is facing charges of raping a child and sexually abusing another.
Lee Johnson, 30, appeared in private at Dundee Sheriff Court in relation to four charges of child sex abuse.
The offences are alleged to have taken place at various addresses in Fife between October 2011 and August this year.
It is alleged that on an occasion between October 2011 and October 2012, in a wooded area in Leven, he sexually assaulted a child.
Johnson is accused of having ordered the child to take off clothing before sexually assaulting the youngster.
A second charge alleges that Johnson sexually assaulted another child at addresses in Leven, Cellardyke, Anstruther and other locations unknown to prosecutors between September 2011 and September 2016.
It is alleged that Johnson raped the child on various occasions during this time period.
Johnson is further charged with intentionally causing the same child to look at indecent images of children.
Prosecutors allege that this occurred on various occasions between September 2014 and September 2016 at the same addresses.
A final charge alleges that on an occasion between June and August this year at an address in Leven, Johnson sexually assaulted the same child.
Johnson, of Haughgate Terrace, Leven, appeared on petition before Sheriff John Rafferty to face the charges.
Solicitor Jim Laverty entered no plea on Johnson’s behalf during his brief appearance in private.
Sheriff Rafferty refused an application for bail and remanded Johnson in custody for the case to call at a later date.
