A Fife paedophile has been jailed for three years after he sexually abused two girls in Kirkcaldy.
Waqad Ahmad was convicted of historic misconduct towards a girl, while she was aged 11 and 12, more than a decade ago.
He assaulted another girl, from when she was 13 to 15, more recently.
Between January 2009 and August 2010, Ahmad abused the first girl on various occasions at an address in Kirkcaldy.
His campaign of lewd, indecent and libidinous behaviour began when the girl was just 11 years old.
Ahmad, 41, forced the girl from her bed, kissed her on the face and mouth and touched her intimately.
Ahmad also seized her arms and forced her to touch his body and private parts above his clothing.
Ahmad also forced his hand between the child’s legs.
The Kirkcaldy man was latterly staying in Glenrothes at a friend’s house, Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court papers revealed.
He was also convicted of abusing a second girl at a property in Kirkcaldy, as well as at Victoria News convenience store on Victoria Road.
The Courier understands Ahmad is the business owner.
The second girl was also abused by Ahmad at an address in Slough, Berkshire.
Ahmad sexually assaulted the girl on various occasions between July 2018 and August 2019.
During this period, Ahmad intentionally caused her to participate in sexual activity without her consent as she was initially 13 when the abuse began.
Ahmad touched the girl’s body over her clothing.
He forced her to sit on his lap, seized her by the body and also placed his hands inside her clothing, touching and kissing her.
Over this period, Ahmad also induced the second girl to touch his private parts over his clothing.
At Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Thursday, Ahmad was jailed for three years.
He was also handed a two-year extended sentence by Sheriff James Williamson.
The sheriff placed Ahmad on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely.
