An Angus tattoo artist has pled guilty to a devastating attack on a woman earlier this year.
Cameron Lamley beat the woman unconscious, threw a knife at her and threatened to kill her.
Lamley, of Smiddy Haugh, Forfar, pled guilty to the horrific assault charges at his home address, on January 27, 2021.
The 35-year-old also admitted behaving in a threatening manner towards Scotland Police officers during the incident.
Sheriff John Rafferty heard how Lamley brandished a knife, shouted, swore and acted in an aggressive manner.
He smashed a television, threw glasses and threatened to kill everyone present unless they killed him first.
He assaulted the woman and threw a knife at her, striking her on the body.
He punched her on the head, grabbed her by the body, struck her head off the living room wall and then on the hallway wall, rendering her unconscious.
Defending solicitor Scott Norrie requested a criminal justice social work report be completed, stating “there is a lot going on in the background.”
Sheriff Rafferty deferred sentencing until November for the reports to be carried out due to “the gravity of this case.”
Lamley remains on bail from Dundee Sheriff Court.
