Grace Ross is accused of causing the death of 18-year-old Joshua Kerr by dangerous driving on May 22, 2020, in Leslie, near Glenrothes. Prosecutors claim the 20 year-old carried out a three-point turn at speed while close to Mr Kerr, who was a pedestrian on the road at the time. Ross is said to have driven downhill towards him, failed to take evasive action causing the motor to hit him. ‘Continued to drive’ The charge states Mr Kerr was pulled underneath the vehicle and that Ross continued to drive over his head and body. She allegedly lost control of the car, went onto a grass verge and then struck a fence. Mr Kerr is said to have been left so severely injured that he died. Ross’ legal team pled not guilty on her behalf during a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow on Thursday. Lord Matthews fixed a trial due to begin on June 27 next year in Livingston. Ross, also of Glenrothes, remains on bail.
