A young man who sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in a Dundee fast food restaurant has been placed on the sex offenders register.
Kieran Dorian was also detained as he awaits sentencing on September 19, having been branded “a danger to the public”.
The 20-year-old apprentice plumber made a grab for his young victim and inappropriately touched her as a group of adults attempted to hustle him from McDonalds on Reform Street.
They had become concerned about his conduct after overhearing him make a series of bizarre and “inappropriately sexualised comments” towards two children.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard that as they waited to be served, he had approached and asked his two victims how old they were.
When they replied they were both aged 13 he told them: “If you are 13 then you can do anything you want”.
Dorian said to a boy: “When I was 11 I was doing everything with girls. I was drinking and taking drugs”, before suggesting he engage in depraved sexual acts with girls.
The youngsters were made “uncomfortable” by Dorian’s comments, which were overheard by two adults, who challenged him.
As he made to leave, he touched a girl on the buttocks, over her clothing.
Though the entire incident was captured on CCTV, Dorian initially denied being in the restaurant, but did admit that he had been drinking in various pubs in the vicinity.
Dorian, described as a prisoner at Perth, pleaded guilty to two charges under the sexual offences act committed on July 30 this year.
Depute fiscal Muhammad Sadiq opposed his release on bail, telling the court: “He is a registered sex offender and the police have grave concerns about him. His victims were just 13. He has deliberately targeted children.
“He is a danger to the public.”
Earlier this week, Dorian appeared in the same court to admit stalking four women at locations across Dundee over a near four-year period.
