A man who posted sexually explicit photographs of a woman online has been placed on the sex offenders register for two years.
Raymond Wishart, 52, of King’s Road, Coupar Angus, was also ordered to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work in the community after he admitted that between June 19 and July 3 last year, at his home address, he had sent sexually explicit images of a woman to a pornographic website.
Perth Sheriff Court had previously heard that married father-of-two Wishart posted a total of 45 photographs of the woman.
The offence came to light when a male working colleague of the woman was browsing the internet in the evening and found pornographic images of her containing her name.
Depute fiscal Stuart Richardson had told the court the woman was shocked to learn the images had been posted, particularly as they had then been picked up by other pornographic websites.
The court had heard that 45 images were posted, with 10 showing the woman in sexual activity and a further three being sexually explicit.
Solicitor Rosie Scott, defending, had said her client “regretted” his behaviour.
Sentencing Wishart, Sheriff William Wood told him: “You had not understood that these sexually explicit images might be accessed by other people.
“They were of an extremely intimate nature and caused the woman significant embarrassment, so it was small wonder she complained about you.”
A non-harassment order was also granted whereby Wishart should not approach or make any contact with the woman for two years.
