A man appeared in private on petition at Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday accused of rape and a series of other sexual assaults committed over a six-day period.
Gigi Ciriblan, 36, of Baffin Street, made no plea as four charges were made against him – including abduction and rape.
It is alleged that on August 24, Ciriblan touched a woman on the Arbroath Road inappropriately over her clothing, contrary to section 3 of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.
On August 26, at various streets in Dundee – including Wishart Street, Constable Street, Ladywell Street and on an area of wasteland near Ladywell Avenue – it is alleged Ciriblan abducted and raped a second woman.
On August 28, it is alleged a third woman was sexually assaulted by Ciriblan at the Seagate.
The final offence was allegedly committed on August 30, with Ciriblan accused of punching a woman in the face.
Ciriblan was remanded in custody after hearing the charges against him.
