A woman lashed out violently at Dundee police, after spouting offensive and homophobic remarks.
She shouted derogatory remarks at several officers, wriggled free of handcuffs, struck one in the face and kicked another officer in the shin.
Patricia McCormack, 28, appeared in Dundee Sheriff Court and pled guilty to charges of abusive behaviour.
Fiscal Depute Carrie-Anne Mackenzie explained the background of the events of February 8, when police attended a call at Provost Road, Dundee.
“Police attended the locus at around 2 pm after reports of a disturbance and traced the accused with her partner.
“The accused overheard that her partner was being arrested and it appeared to anger her.
“She began to shout and scream at the police officers
“When asked to calm down, she shouted ‘piggy b*****ds’, ‘paedo b*****ds’, ‘p**fy boy’, and f***ing a**eholes’”.
Freed herself from handcuffs
As police arrested her, she somehow wriggled free from her handcuffs and attempted to strike one police officer on the head.
Officers re-applied the handcuffs and placed McCormack in a police van.
While inside the van, she kicked another officer on the shin.
Police eventually brought her to Dundee headquarters on Bell Street, where she was cautioned and charged.
McCormack, of Crammond Place, Perth, pled guilty to the multiple charges of abusive behaviour.
Sheriff Lorna Drummond QC noted the charges were “serious enough to call for a report.
“These are relatively serious offences.”
Sheriff Drummond deferred sentence until next month for the completion of social work reports.
