A man accused of assaulting his sister has been banned from Scotland ahead of his trial at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Andrew Daniel Garcia, 24, of Stanley Road, Southend, is alleged to have punched and pushed a female in a flat on Dundee’s Court Street North on April 5 this year.
On Wednesday Garcia maintained a plea of not guilty to accusations he seized her by the hair, pushed her onto a bed before punching her on the head.
The 24-year-old is also alleged, on the same date, to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear or alarm.
Garcia was released on bail by Sheriff Alastair Brown on the condition he did not cross the Scottish border ahead of his next court appearance on November 22.
