A disgruntled punter posted a fake profile on an adult website after falling out with a sex worker following a threesome involving slime at a Perth hotel.
Ian Duncan landed in court after uploading images and derogatory descriptions on a site advertising escort services.
He posted dozens of topless images of his victim, describing her as “fat”, “desperate” and “horny”.
The woman found out when the website AdultWorks.com contacted her and asked her to verify her mobile phone number.
Duncan appeared at Perth Sheriff Court and admitted disclosing photos and videos that showed the sex worker in an intimate situation, without her consent with the intention of causing fear, alarm or distress in January 2018.
The court heard many of the images were taken by Duncan during a ménage à trois at the Queen’s Hotel in Perth.
Website used for escort services
Sheriff William Wood told Duncan, of Simpson Court, Troon: “It doesn’t matter what someone does, they are entitled to the protection of the court and their privacy has to be safeguarded.
“This would have been very upsetting.”
He fined Duncan £900.
Procurator fiscal depute Rebecca Kynaston said: “The complainer was living in Dunfermline.
“She had previously worked as an escort in Scotland and had used a website which is used by escorts to advertise their services.”
She told the court Duncan knew the escort and another female sex worker through the same website.
He struck up a friendship with the other woman after being introduced to her through a client.
‘There was a shower and slime’
In October 2017, Duncan arranged to meet the two women at the Queen’s Hotel in Perth.
“During this meeting, all parties engaged in sexual intercourse,” said Ms Kynaston.
“There was a shower and slime also appeared to be involved.
“All that went on in that hotel room was consensual at the time.
“These matters were also recorded on video.
“At that time permission was given by the complainer.”
She said that around 30 photos were taken.
“All these pictures and videos were sent by Whatsapp messenger service to the complainer.”
Ms Kynaston said the victim’s face was not shown in any of the images.
Fall-out
“There was a fall-out between parties in November 2017,” she said.
“In January 2018, the complainer received a message from the escort website, asking her to verify her mobile number.
“She sent back a message saying that she no longer had a profile on that website.”
Ms Kynaston said: “She had a bad feeling about this and decided to look up the website.
“She found a profile.
“She found 32 images, including 22 that had been taken in the hotel room by the accused and the other woman.
“She was upset by what she was seeing and believed that the images had been put there by the accused.”
Photos were ‘rather tame’
Ms Kynaston told the court: “Mr Duncan was traced in relation to these allegations.
“When he was interviewed by police, he told officers he had set up the account.
“He claimed at the time that the complainer had asked him to do so.”
Solicitor Billy Somerville said the images posted on the fake profile were “rather tame” topless shots.
He said the complainer and the escort had fallen out because of his friendship with another woman.
“This is an unusual case to say the least,” he said.
