Knife and golf club domestic abuser behind bars after decade of “daily basis” torment
ByAgency Reporter
A Fife man who brutally beat his partner on an almost “daily basis” during a decade of torment is finally behind bars.
The sickening catalogue of violence saw Robert MacPherson put a knife against the throat of his partner Lesley McKean in front of children and on another occasion strike her on the back her with a iron golf club.
Dunfermline Sheriff Court heard the 43-year-old threatened to cut her head off and put it on a stick in her mother’s garden if she ever left him.
Ms McKean, who at times became upset in the witness box, said the violence was so regular that it was difficult to pick out particular examples but she spoke about some of the worst cases.
