Steven Duncan from Montrose was snared when police working on a tip-off raided the home he shared with his parents and siblings. They found hundreds of indecent images of young girls stored on two hard drives. Fiscal depute Eilidh Robertson told Dundee Sheriff Court: “A number of computer items were seized and examined. “Two hard drivers found in his bedroom contained indecent images. “On one seven videos and 211 still images were found and on another there were 243 indecent images. “They all depicted female children aged between 10 and 16.” Duncan, 29, of Market Street, pleaded guilty to downloading indecent images of children between May 22 2009 and June 10 2014 at his home address. Sheriff Alastair Carmichael imposed a community payback order with one year’s supervision and 135 hours unpaid work. He also placed Duncan on the sex offenders register for one year.
