A rape accused from Dundee has denied having “an unhealthy interest in young girls”.
Jordan Pearson, 20, rejected suggestions he turned up late to parties in the city so he could take advantage of young female guests who were already drunk.
He also rejected the idea he asked the inebriated youngsters to talk in private so he could take them into a bedroom to rape them.
He told police the allegations made against him by five teenagers were part of “a big set-up”.
Teenage parties
A jury at the High Court in Livingston heard evidence one of Pearson’s alleged victims was so drunk she was sick in two rooms and had to be placed on a mattress by her friends.
A 13-year-old girl who claimed he raped her for 30 minutes after taking her into a bedroom told her friends: “I just sh***ed Jordan Pearson”.
Another under-age schoolgirl spoke of similar circumstances leading to an alleged rape and told her friends she had “pumped” the accused.
A third girl said when Pearson took her to the bedroom and had sex with her for between 10 and 20 minutes.
After a friend came into the room and left again, she said the accused pushed her down on the bed and started raping her again.
Three of the teenage girls alleged Pearson had sent them photos of his penis and one of them claimed he had pressurised her into send him an intimate picture of herself.
Friends ‘turned against’ accused
Pearson said the sexual claims made by all five of his accusers were made up.
He claimed he had no idea why the allegations had been reported, adding: “I fell out with my friends and they all turned against me.”
Advocate depute Paul Harvey put it to him he had deliberately targeted drunken young girls at parties in order to have sex with them.
He said: “We can conclude this is what you do with young girls.
“You’ve got an unhealthy interest in sending girls younger than you pictures of your penis.
“All five are telling us the truth about what you did to them, aren’t they?”
Pearson replied: “No they aren’t.”
Denied being at party
The jury heard he denied being at a party where one of the alleged rapes was committed until police showed him a video of the event, proving he was there.
He said: “As an 18-year-old I was at that many parties I didn’t know what one was the one.”
Pearson, of Gourdie Road, Dundee, is charged with assaulting and raping 13-year-old girls, having unlawful sex with a minor, sexually assaulting a 13-year-old by trying to kiss her and two counts of causing an older child to look at a sexual image.
He denies committing the offences at addresses in Dundee between November 9 2019 and January 11 2020.
The trial, before judge Alison Stirling, continues.
