A Kirkcaldy man is due to appear in court charged with the murder of a man at a flat in the town earlier this week.
The 51-year-old is expected to appear on petition at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Thursday.
His appearance comes after the body of Alex Forbes, who is understood to be from the Edinburgh area, was discovered by police at a property in Victoria Road in the early hours of Monday morning.
A police investigation into the death is continuing and the address remains cordoned off.
Detective Chief Inspector Keith Hardie of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team said: “As part of our enquiries we continue to ask anyone who has information which may be relevant to come forward.”
Victoria Road had been closed off between Bennochy Road and Townsend Crescent for most of the day on Monday after police were called to the flat shortly after 5am.
