Police have arrested the brother of a man who died in a house fire in Milngavie on New Year’s Day.
Cameron Logan, 23, died in the blaze while his partner Rebecca Williams, 24, who comes originally from Fife, was seriously injured.
Blair Logan, 26, has been arrested in connection with his brother’s death and the alleged attempted murder of his parents, who are both 54, and Ms Williams.
Ms Williams, a journalist with Global Radio, was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
She is still being treated in hospital for her injuries.
Police Scotland confirmed: “A 26-year-old man has been arrested and is currently detained in police custody in connection with the death of a 23-year-old man and the alleged attempted murder of a 24-year-old woman, a 54-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man on January 1 2017 in Achray Place, Milngavie.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
