A Dundee forklift driver sent sexually explicit pictures and shared child abuse images with other creeps.
Andrew Galbraith, 26, believed he was sending images of himself and engaging in sexualised chat with a 13-year-old.
However, he was actually conversing with a vigilante paedophile hunter.
First offender Galbraith, of St Mungo Terrace, admitted three charges at Dundee Sheriff Court.
He sat sobbing in the dock as the details of his disgusting crimes were read aloud.
Snared by hunter decoy
Galbraith, now a registered sex offender, shared and was sent images of young children being abused, telling fellow perverts he had “young” pictures.
The decoy, identifying herself as “Amber”, told Galbraith she was 13, which did not deter him from sending sexualised conversations.
In reality, Amber was a a woman called Angela McAllister, a self-described “child protection” vigilante who snares paedophiles online.
Depute fiscal Lora Apostolova told the court: “The accused is 26.
“He was employed as a forklift driver at the time.
“Angela McAlister used a decoy – Amber, 13.
“The accused initiated conversation on November 8 2020.
“He engaged in sexually explicit conversation, sent pictures of his erect penis.
“He was confronted by the hunter group.
“The chat logs were highly sexual.
“At one point he asks Amber if she would like to see his penis.
“In another he told her he was bored and horny.”
Sick chat with other perverts
Ms Apostolova told the court Galbraith’s phone contained 17 images and 32 videos of varying categories of seriousness.
“He had used the Kik messenger application to share pornographic and indecent images of children.
“In March 2020 he sent a Category B video to another user.
“He stated he ‘had young’.
“Other users sent Category A, B and C images to him.”
Sheriff George Way deferred sentence for reports and instructed Galbraith to register as a sex offender.
Galbraith pled guilty to inducing what he thought was a 13-year-old child to look at a sexual image and conversation, in order to gain sexual gratification or humiliation, between November 8 2020 and June 13 2021 at an address on Clepington Road.
He admitted two further charges of possessing and distributing indecent images of children, on the same date and time.
He hid behind a mask as he made his way from Dundee Sheriff Court following his case being heard.
