A man has been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of a shopworker in Windygates. The 32-year-old will appear in private at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today. On Friday, a 30-year-old woman sustained serious head injuries after being attacked at the Village Shop in Station Road. She was treated by paramedics at the scene and then taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy. Police issued an appeal for witnesses following the incident.
