Three men have appeared in court accused of risking severe injury by firing an array of weapons on a lochside campsite in Perthshire.
Waleed Alsheikali, 42, Shamhan Djabaev, 43, and Ali Masoum, 28, are said to have used a crossbow and arrow and air weapons for target practice at the site, close to a road at Ardeonaig, by Loch Tay, on Sunday.
Prosecutors say the alleged incident risked severe injury to residents, and amounted to culpable and reckless conduct.
Alsheikali is also accused of having “a firearm or imitation firearm”, on the A827 near Killin, with intent to cause two people – Allison and Hamish McLaughlin – to believe that unlawful violence would be used against members of the public.
It was an alleged breach of the Firearms Act.
Djabaev is also accused of possessing an air weapon without a licence.
Alsheikali, of Plaistow, in East London, Djabaev, of Manchester, and Masoum, of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, appeared on petition at Stirling Sheriff Court.
At a brief, private hearing before Sheriff Keith O’Mahony the three men made no plea, and were released on bail.
They will appear in court again at a date to be fixed.
