Three people have appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court accused of inciting rioting and mobbing. David Young, 56, Caroline Linning, 46, and Robert Clark, 37, appeared in private before Sheriff Paul Brown on Monday afternoon. All three were charged with mobbing and rioting and inciting mobbing and rioting. They made no plea and the case will be continued for further examination. All were granted bail. Young, of Glasgow, Linning, of Ayr and Clark, of Fintry, Dundee, will return to the court at a future date. It follows a week of unrest at addresses across the city which saw scores of police, some dressed in tactical riot gear, standing guard outside homes. There was unrest on Ballindean Road on Friday. On Friday, officers were called to Ballindean Road, while earlier in the week they attended a home on St Mungo Terrace in St Mary’s. Crowds of people, reportedly up to 100 in strength, had gathered at homes on each street. No one was arrested following the St Mary’s incident at the time, police confirmed. Another incident at St Mungo Terrace. A male was removed from a property, understood to be for his own safety.
