An Angus youth has admitted spitting on one police officer and kicking another during a rampage last summer.
Gordon Wallace appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court to admit two assaults on July 22 in 2021.
19-year-old Wallace spat on constable Jonathan White at police headquarters in Dundee, and also kicked constable Rod Hamilton at Southesk Road in Brechin.
Neither officer was injured by the teenager’s attacks.
Wallace also admitted missing a court hearing on May 31 this year.
Sheriff Robert More ordered a social work report and restriction of liberty order assessment to be completed ahead of sentencing.
Wallace, of Nursery Park in Brechin, will be sentenced on October 27.
Churchyard challenge
A 60-year-old Perth man challenged a relative to a duel at a historic Perthshire churchyard and told him: “Only one of us will make it out alive.” Randolph Angus, of Cromlix Road, admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, likely to cause fear or alarm, on March 9.
Motorbike scam
A Fife man stole £2000 from his victim after pretending he would collect and deliver a motorcycle to him in exchange for the money.
Robert Chubb, 49, of New Flockhouse in Lochore, pled guilty at Dunfermline Sheriff Court to obtaining the money by fraud in February 2018.
Chubb’s defence lawyer, Matthew Super, said his client is “ready and willing” to pay back the full amount in terms of compensation.
Sheriff Alison Michie adjourned sentencing until October 19 for background reports.
Full details of the case will be heard at this time.
Foul-mouthed racism
Convicted drug dealer John Cord, 35, clambered onto the bonnet of his own car to hurl a tirade of foul-mouthed, racist abuse and threats at a woman following a minor bump at a car wash in Dundee. Already in prison for dealing, he was given a further nine months.
Arrest warrant
An arrest warrant has been issued for a serial swindler after he failed to turn up at court for sentencing.
Tomasz Lacki posed as an Amazon worker to prey on a 90-year-old Crieff woman in April.
He tricked pensioner Rhona Gibson into paying cash for a neighbour’s parcel.
The 38-year-old was found guilty of defrauding Ms Gibson and 67-year-old Simon Barnes following a trial at Perth Sheriff Court in July.
Former care worker Lacki, who was jailed for eight months in 2019 for stealing from Creiff pensioners, did not show up at court on Monday for sentencing.
Sheriff Francis Gill issued a warrant for his arrest.
