A woman has appeared in court charged with attempting to murder a teenage boy in Fife. Emma Scott made no plea when she appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court. The 26-year-old is charged with assaulting a 16-year-old at Provosts Land in Leslie on Saturday night. It’s alleged she assaulted him to his severe injury, permanent disfigurement and danger of life and attempted to murder him. She also faces a charge of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner. Scott, of Glenrothes, was released on bail and the case was continued for further examination. She is expected to appear again within the next eight days. The charge came after police descended on Leslie, with local people describing a heavy presence and a youngster being removed in an ambulance.
