A paedophile has been told he will be allowed to watch legal pornography – as long as he shares it with social workers.
Lewis Anderson was given the unusual condition at Dundee Sheriff Court after he admitted having child abuse material.
He was made subject to a conduct requirement by Sheriff George Way which means he will need to let social workers know what pornography he is viewing.
The sheriff said he would also have to get together with social workers to discuss the legal pornographic material he was choosing to view.
Sheriff Way said: “If he agrees, he will be given conduct conditions which will include him agreeing to unannounced visits from his supervising officer.
“His use of legal pornography will be monitored and reflected upon with him, as deemed necessary by his supervising officer.”
Cocaine admission
Anderson, 23, of Nithsdale Avenue, Dundee, admitted possessing indecent images of children at his home on August 20 2020.
He also admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine on the same day.
Anderson agreed to the sheriff’s proposed sentence and the conduct requirement and he was placed under social work supervision for 18 months as part of a community payback order.
He was also ordered to carry out 150 hours unpaid work in the community and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 18 months.
