A Dundee woman has admitted having a hammer after becoming embroiled in a dispute over proposed payment for a sex act.
Kimberly Flynn, 33, admitted having the offensive weapon and then acting in a threatening and abusive manner on her way to Bell Street in March last year.
Flynn had been at an address at Hilltown Terrace after receiving an invitation from witness Eric Woleki.
Flynn told police he then propositioned her so she took the hammer from Mr Woleki’s boot, the court heard.
Prostitute misunderstanding
Depute fiscal Gavin Barton told Dundee Sheriff Court: “Mr Woleki had obtained the accused’s mobile number in the belief she was a prostitute.
“They met and began to have an argument.
“A witness observed the accused with her right hand raised above her head.
“She was heard shouting ‘pervert’ and ‘dirty old man’.
“The accused ran towards a multi-storey building.
“A metal clanking was heard.
“When police approached the accused she shouted ‘get f***ed’.
“The hammer was found on nearby grass.”
‘He is a f***king beast’
The court was told on the way to Bell Street police HQ, Flynn was asked to desist shouting and swearing.
She said: “I don’t give a f**k. I had the hammer.
“I got it from his (Woleki’s) boot.”
She said he had offered her £40 for a sex act.
“He is a f***ing beast,” she added.
Defence solicitor Jim Caird, in mitigation for Flynn, told the court his client had a persistent drug problem.
Sheriff Alastair Carmichael noted Flynn did not bring the hammer to the meeting before deferring sentence for reports.
Flynn admitted that on March 7 2021 at Hilltown Terrace, she had an offensive weapon without reasonable excuse.
She also admitted behaving in a threatening and abusive manner en route to Bell Street police HQ.
She will return for sentencing on January 9 2023.
