A Dundee creep is back behind bars after admitting a sexual assault and flashing at a teenager.

Jason O’Neil is remanded at HMP Perth and will be sentenced next month after admitting charges at Dundee Sheriff Court.

The 28-year-old appeared by video link to admit sexually assaulting a woman at a flat in Aboyne Avenue in Dundee on February 18 this year.

O’Neil, formerly of Coupar Angus, grabbed her by her hair, bent her over a kitchen worktop and rubbed his private parts against her, simulating sex.

At the same flat on the same date, he exposed himself to a teenager.

O’Neil proceeded to act in a threatening manner later that night and into the following morning.

He repeatedly shouted and swore and made sexual and derogatory remarks, before spitting within a police vehicle, banging his head on the window and lashing out with his legs.

Sentencing was deferred until December 6.

Last year, O’Neil appeared in court after sharing footage a woman performing a sex act on him on social media without her consent.

Jailed for rape

Former bar owner Andy Keir from Broughty Ferry has been jailed for rape. The 38-year-old ex-owner of Bruch – who “hotly denies” the crime – was found guilty by a jury at the High Court in Dundee.

Death in custody

A woman remanded after a court date in Fife has died in custody.

Sharlene Watson was locked up after a hearing in Kirkcaldy earlier this month.

However, the 53-year-old was confirmed to have died after being taken from jail to hospital last week.

The death is not being treated as suspicious but an inquiry will take place.

A Scottish Prison Service spokesperson said: “Sharlene Watson, 53, a prisoner at HMP & YOI Polmont, died on Friday, 25 November 2022.

“She had been remanded into our care from Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court, on 10 November.

“Police Scotland have been notified and the matter reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

“A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course.

A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Around 5pm on Friday,18 November 2022, police were made aware of a 53-year-old woman having been taken to hospital from HMYOI Polmont, Falkirk.

“The 53-year-old later died in hospital.

“There are no suspicious circumstances.”

Butcher groomer

Fife groomer Paul Wilson sent dozens of dirty messages to what he believed was a 13-year-old schoolgirl – actually a paedophile hunter group decoy account. The former butcher from St Andrews will be sentenced next month.

Taxi spitter

A drunken lout jumped a taxi queue in Dundee and then spat in the face of the woman at the front.

Ben Duke appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court to admit assault.

Fiscal depute Lynne Mannion explained the 29-year-old had arrived at the Nethergate rank at around 12.45am on July 24 last year.

Self-employed Duke, of King Street in Broughty Ferry, skipped the queue while he was “extremely drunk.”

He spat directly in the face of his victim and was challenged by another male there, before police attended.

Duke’s lawyer said he runs a social media and video-editing business and had not offended since 2015.

Sheriff Paul Brown deferred sentencing until January 11 and ordered reports.
